Artist's Comments

I just thought this was a great image, the expression, especially the eyes, gave me the feeling that there is an interesting story behind them. I put a lot more work than usual into this, and I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm not sure exactly how long it took, but it would be somewhere around 5 hours. I used charcoal pencils, and one of those fuzzy smudging sticks.

i love this image. the eyes look great but i especially love the textures shown on the skin and the wrinkles. looks great!
