Artist's Comments

I managed to stuff up the one of Emma Watson, so it might be a while before I can be bothered going back and fixing it up.
In the meantime, here's a charcoal drawing of William Shatner. It's pretty big (A3) so it wouldn't fit in the scanner. I couldn't even scan it in pieces and photoshop them together, so the best I could do was take a photo. As a result, parts of it look a little blurry, but it didn't come out as badly as I'd expected.

I'm not really a huge fan of Star Trek. I've seen a couple of the movies, and an episode here and there, and I quite like it.
The drawing has taken a few weeks (probably around 20 hours all together). Hope you like it.

Very flattering portrait of him! You captured the smirky little half smile perfectly. ;)

This is really amazing. Even more so given the medium. Charcoal is not forgiving. Good job!

Nice... the shading on the right side of his face sorta reminds me of Capitan Pike .. sorry if I'm being too much of a Trek geek

How did you get the depth of field blur so perfect on the right? >_<

I dunno. Luck? XD
I did a lot of tissue smudging to get some effects in this one.
