This is just a relatively quick sketch I did while taking a break from my school work. I only spent a couple of hours on it so I kept it pretty rough. I used charcoal pencils and worked from a reference.
The character is from the film Zatoichi.

Beautifully rendered! I love sketchwork like this, it really shows the artist's hand.

Somehow it reminds me of the work of Drew Struzan.

And, of course it's a Samurai!

(Can someone *please* explain why there was tapdancing at the end of that movie, though?)
